Dr. Hayel Said, a world-renowned color chemist, received his PhD in Molecular biology from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. By analyzing the molecular structure of hair proteins and understanding how hair interacts with its environment, he was able to formulate a wide array of outstanding hair care products ranging from hair color to shampoos, conditioners, and permanent waves, Dr. Said brings to L’Avant Garde over 25 years of hair care experience. This expertise has enabled him to develop many breakthrough products patented worldwide.

Dr. Said is a member of The Society of Cosmetics Chemists (SCC), a speaker at SCC educational seminars, and an Educator for the American Board of Certified Hair Colorists.
